Ruth broke the U20w county records for 3000m and 5000m.

Ruth ran in the Junior Womens' race at the World Cross Country in March.

Ruth was 11th in the 5000m at the Spar European Junior Track and Field Championships.

 

Ruth was 6th in the U20s race at the Reebok Challenge, Birmingham, in a time of 17.37.

European cross-country

Pre-race: Euro xc: "I ran the World Cross Country Championships in March and that was quite amazing. I’ve never done a European Cross Country Championships before, so it will be another interesting experience. I’m pretty fit and I shall try my hardest – run as hard as I can and see where it gets me.”

Ruth was ??th in the Junior race at the European Cross-country in Edinburgh. 

Ruth said:  “I found it really hard. I struggled a bit on the hill, where I thought I would be OK. I just didn’t have enough left at the end.”

Great Britain took the team Gold medal. 

 

 

2004

Ruth was 14th in the Senior Womens' race at the Reebok Challenge in Belfast, in a time of 21:05. 

 

Ruth was 2nd in the South of England Cross-country U20s Race at Parliament Hill, London in a time of 20:03 behind IOW's Bryony Frost.

Ruth was 7th at the English Nationals.
